Pyrenees Tours

I don’t usually write about my travel experiences. This time I’m willing to make an exception because my last trip was amazing. I’m thinking about Pyrenees Tours for some time.

For those of you who never been in Pyrenees Tours I think it’s about time. The Pyrenees are a huge mountain chain, 450 km long. It creates a natural border between Spain and France. Pyrenees Tours can be done in many ways, I prefer jeeps. The fun about jeeps and the big advantage of it is that you can get to all kinds of places which are hidden. During the Pyrenees Tours you’ll get to meet some odd cultures which got developed inside the mountains, being disconnected from the outer world. They had to do everything by their selves and to create their own unique culture.

The Pyrenees offer us to meet this cultures and to meet the amazing area in which they’ve developed. Mountains, lakes, rivers, huge trees, wild animals…are only few of the things you’ll see in the Pyrenees Tours. The highest peak of the Pyrenees is 3,400 km high, can you imagine ? once you get there you feel like you are on the top of the world, and actually in a way you are.

We had 7 days for our Pyrenees Tours and it’s not enough. I think that if you want to enjoy it properly you’ll need at list two weeks. The jeep does make the trip easier and faster but still. I recommend that you’ll plan your Pyrenees Tours with a local guide that knows his way in the area.

Usually I’m trying to do it by myself but this time I’m happy I didn’t. these guys know so much about the place they were born in and they give you some really important tips. Our guide was hardly speaking English and still we found a way to communicate. Our Pyrenees Tours were an unforgettable experience and I’m sure I’ll get back there sometime. My last but not list tip is – try to get there in the summer, otherwise the rain can ruin your trip.
